Part-time, non-classified position to
assist with providing services to children and teens at the
Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library, Blacksburg branch. Working as a member of a
team, responsibilities include implementing Saturday storytimes, several weekly
storytimes and outreaches to local schools. In addition, Youth Services
Assistant will plan and assist with children’s and teen programming, summer
reading programming, and perform other duties as assigned. Must be
able to travel to all four branches.
Requires 15 credit hours in early
childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education
or human services and two years of work experience related to the care and
development of children, and/or previous library/customer service experience.
Criminal history check required.
Pay $11.00/hour. Interested candidates should
