Director of Campus Safety
College seeks a highly engaged, community-oriented professional as its next
Associate Director of Campus Safety. The
Office of Campus Safety supports the college mission by providing a safe,
secure and orderly campus environment where students can pursue their education
and in which faculty and staff can teach and work. This mission is accomplished through the
protection of life, property and individual freedoms. Our work contributes to a campus culture in
which every member of the Roanoke College community understands the whole
student experience and are aware of their impact on student development.
Associate Director of Campus Safety will effectively assist the Associate Dean/Director
of Campus Safety in planning, administering, coordinating and controlling the
operations of the Office of Campus Safety to provide the highest level of
professional services possible.
Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s
degree, have graduated from a certified policy academy and hold or be able to
Conservator of the Peace certification and have ten years of progressively
responsible, relevant law enforcement experience. Experience in a leadership role in law
enforcement/security in a higher education setting is preferred.
